There is a power imbalance between Dick/Jason that's shamefully rarely touched upon in fanfic. They are canonically 6-10 years apart in age. Jason was literally a kid when he became Robin when Dick was already an adult. Then Jason was tortured and died. When he came back, he did so with a year and a half of memories missing from spending time being dead and catatonic shortly after resurrection—emotional vulnerable, easy to fall into unhealthy relationships.

I like it when Dick isn't the sunshine and rainbow of the family. I like Dick being just a more lighthearted version of Batman (he jokes while putting criminals in the hospital, etc.), and I like things that involve Dick having a little brother kink toward Jason.

I also love full-on darkfics and dub/noncon content (Jason being nonconned). I love fucked up interpersonal dynamics (codependency, Stockholm syndrome, etc.), major power imbalance between Jason and someone 6-10 years older than him, captor/captive (Jason as the captive), and emotional manipulation/gaslighting (Jason as the victim). I have a special thing for the “protective older brother/innocent younger brother” dynamic, and this is one of those ships I crave because it’s rare/deemed as problematic even when the fandom itself is pretty big.

I prefer the Movie version of the characters over the book version because I can feel more emotional impact from Georgie’s death from the movie. But I have read the book, so feel free to reference book-only events if you want. I’d love for the story to go into the brothers’ unhealthy codependency, how much Georgie looks up to Bill, and how much Bill loves/loved Georgie.

Noatak used to be such a happy child and brother to young Tarrlok, but then as he becomes a teen, he is slowly corrupted by his father, becoming his protoge, and Tarrlok feels he's drifting away from him. I'd love to see Noatak's softness to his brother underneath that cold mask he puts on. Nothing about this series got me more excited than all the shit Riko Moriyama got up to, especially when that resulted in pain for everyone around him, namely Neil. It's the "quite literally made for each other" dynamic that gets me. The "his soul and my soul are made from the same thing" in the worst most self-hating way possible. The way Lucifer was the only one to understand Sam fully and what a crime that was, what a betrayal it became when he abused him. The connection and awe of season 5 that turned to possessiveness and derision in the later seasons. How sure Lucifer was that Sam would come to see how they belong together and how Sam literally would've killed himself before actually choosing Lucifer. If you're unfamiliar but curious about these characters I rambled about them a bit on tumblr (post 1)(post 2) but honestly what it boils down to is Dick getting pulled into what was basically a cult at 16 and becoming the right-hand-man of the cult leader and losing his virginity to the cult leader's girlfriend and then finding out that it was all a manipulation to gain access to Wayne E, and then they come back years later and successfully manipulate him again despite Dick knowing better. And I'm totally normal about this plotline, totally not obsessed or anything. Eddie and Liu had Dick wrapped around their fingers, had him covering for them and (reluctantly) committing crimes, and had him convinced that they loved him deeply. So whether this is set during Dick's time with them as a 16yo, or during the period where they come back when he's an adult, I am game for it all. Just feed me my toxic as fuck rarepair!
